There are many different ways to pay for things, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
You will be used to paying for things in cash, and possibly by debit card, credit card or store card. There are lots of different ways to pay for things and the way we pay for things depends on: what we are paying for; who we are paying; and the methods that are accepted by those we are paying.
Paying with cash can be convenient for some things, such as: a newspaper; some groceries; or a bus fare, but other methods can be far more convenient for regular expenditure such as paying bills, sending money to family members, or buying large items, perhaps a washing machine or a car.
You can also pay for things with credit cards or store cards as well as taking out a loan or a hire purchase agreement. Whichever method you choose, make sure that it is safe.
